    Synopsis
     

    This structured learning course provides real estate salespersons with a deep understanding of the legal, procedural, and practical aspects of selling residential properties that are still under construction.

    The course focuses on the buyer’s journey - from project launch to key collection - and covers key documents such as the Option to Purchase (OTP) and Sale & Purchase Agreement (S&P), payment timelines, progress payments, defects liability, and key consumer protection provisions under the Housing Developers (Control & Licensing) Act and the Housing Developers Rules.

    Through real-life case scenarios and application-based discussions, participants will gain the skills to effectively guide buyers, manage expectations, and explain contractual obligations clearly and accurately.

    Learning Objectives
     
    • To equip real estate salespersons with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to advise buyers on the purchase of residential properties under construction, focusing on legal requirements, key contract provisions, payment timelines, and buyer protections from a compliance and consumer-focused perspective.

      At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

      (1) Interpret the legal and contractual obligations of developers under the Housing Developers (Control and Licensing) Act and Housing Developers Rules

      (2) Explain the progressive payment schedule and conduct financial estimation for buyers.

      (3) Explain key contract terms and their consequences.
